I love a great burger. If you get to Chicago go to Kuma's Korner, a heavy metal themed burger joint that serves such burgers as Lair of the Minotaur and the Plague Bringer. I've had them both. Good does not begin to describe how delicious they were.
I love a good burger, but having them as a mainstay of your diet wouldn't be a good idea. I was in Blackpool in North-West England last week, and you couldn't move for burger stands and cafes! The general population didn't look in great shape. When I have 'em, I need some cheese and pickle.
Except for a a nice MLT: a mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich - where the mutton is nice and lean, and the tomato is ripe. They're so perky, I love that.
My sister was always a buck oh five completely sopping wet. Her doc told her to gain weight she could eat as much micky D's that she wanted. She did this in her 20s and nothing happened. She had her 35th birthday and the metabolism god took away her super power. :-( If you leave out the bun I think you can call it atkins???
A SMASH BURGERS just opened near me. Might try that tonight....I get a burger every once in a while. Not often or I'll be perplexing doctors to my weight gain! LOL.
I decided to give up red meat for health reasons. Then I decided to give up just cheap red meat (the 80% ground stuff you buy on-sale at the market or the mostly-meat things you get in the drive-through). But since I haven't gotten around to buying some good, prime meat or even some bison, I haven't had a decent hamburger in quite a while.
I will definitely be buying a hamburger today! :D Really like you a-z blogs! Will be coming back for more

A MIND*S EYE
Dropping in on Alex's suggestion. Great sketches - I really love Frankenstein's monster! But there's no cheese on your burger...
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a carnivore. *salivating slightly*
ReplyDeleteYou're responsible for my weight gain! (I'll tell my doctors). I agree with a post above, I need cheeeeese...
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly how I like my burger. I've been on Weight Watchers and recently had my first burger in several months. It was heavenly.
ReplyDeleteGo for the veggie burger instead - less fat and calories!

So is Mexican food the other 70% of your diet?
ReplyDeleteIt is colorful. Maybe I'll have a veggie burger for lunch. :)
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with living off hamburgers, right?
ReplyDeleteLOL. I was thinking of getting everything for my hubby to do burgers out on the grill today. Needs a slice of cheese and some pickles.
ReplyDelete: )
People make these things without cheese? Seems like a waste.
ReplyDeleteAlso, LOL at Jay's comment. Nothing like a good old PB quote.
I ate a kobe beef burger the other day. Boy was it juicy.
ReplyDeleteMeat. Nummy. I could never be a vegan. Mmmmmm!
ReplyDeleteA burger? Isn't that just a snack? Visiting from A-Z:)
ReplyDeleteLike your sketch! Visiting from A to Z. Great to meet a hero of Alex's.
ReplyDeleteMonti
hi - dropping in from A-Z - I like your drawings very much.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't just look at 299 (or a burger) and not become your 300th follower -especially when Alex made the referral. Congrats!

Mmm. I love hamburgers. I so empathize with Whimpy. Now you've made me hungry.
ReplyDeleteAnd Robyn just came to tell me she is follower number three hundred here - congratulations!
ReplyDeleteheeheehee!
ReplyDeletedr's are baffled by my weight gain as well...
what do you mean cupcakes aren't a vegetable????

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogging, my friend!
Lol! My son's diet too, if I let him. So far, at 17, he's whipcord lean and mean.
ReplyDeleteI like the drawing, btw. :-)

ReplyDeleteI think it's time to fix that. :) Nice sketch!

second time someone's blog has made me want a hamburger today!
ReplyDeleteYum, you just have to have the cheese on a burger, it's not the same otherwise.
ReplyDeleteLike your sketches Rusty.
It's a crabby patty. :)
ReplyDeleteHey! It's Burger Time!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, that's what your sketch makes me think of, and, now, I want to play it.
Now I'm hungry for hamburger.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 300+ Followers!
Don't talk to my hubby. He's having to watch things like his intake of red meat. Kind sucks all the joy out of his life.
ReplyDeletePoor baby.
Yeah, I want to hear about the 70% of your diet?! Chocolate, beer...
ReplyDeleteIf you are really baffled...
The secret is...eat like a caveman...
meat, veggies and fruit.
Off to finish cooking my pot roast!
Eat some fish, twigs and seeds on occasion, it balances the sat fat!
Yummy now I'm hungry! Just stopping by to say "hi". Came over from Alex's. :)
ReplyDeleteNot the best thing to look at first thing in the morning, now I want a breakfast burger!
