So I decided Friday night to go with a sketch-a-day. And after an hour piddling around I came up with today's image. I was going to do something astronomy related, then I decided to do a pretty complicated scene with an old man staring at the stars... astronomy was the theme. But I did a quick sketch and realized I would have to work on it for too long to actually make it look cool. So after half an hour I chucked that too.
Sigh, that's going to be problem for me. Anyway, I decided that the old man I was drawing reminded me just a bit of an aging Andrew Leon... wait, Andrew starts with an 'A'... I drew Andrew Leon, aged an additional 40 years.

So, *ahem* sorry to anyone who'd hoped I'd do the astronomy based posts for the challenge, it looks like sketches are my thing.
Hey, I like both themes so it's a win-win for me.
ReplyDeleteI love the sketches theme. It's orignal, quick to read, and interesting. :)
ReplyDeleteAndrew will get a kick out of that!
ReplyDeleteSo will I get five hundred points if I send myself? If that puts me in the lead, I might do it.
Great post.

I didn't have a theme until I sat down at the computer this morning and chances are, it'll change about five hundred times between now and the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteLove the sketch. You're such a great artist.
Wow, you are very talented. I can't wait to see what your other sketches will be.
ReplyDeleteI'm dropping by from the A-Z Challenge and will definitely be back to check out more of your sketches.

ReplyDeleteAwesome sketch. I wish I could do that. I can't wait to see the rest.
ReplyDeleteWow... I really have no words. And that's something for me. Okay, I have one word: awesome! That's awesome (and, look, my word starts with "a")!
ReplyDeleteOh, and my wife will kill me if I ever let my beard get that long.
I wish I could sketch like that. I can draw epic stick figures. And trees, I'm pretty good at drawing trees. I'm not very good at drawing peoples.
ReplyDeleteLove your theme. I'm interested to see what sketches you'll come up with. :)

ReplyDeleteCurious. How long did it take you to do that sketch? You're very talented.
@Jay: I had beard in high school, and Moses was one of the nicknames I picked up.

ReplyDeleteI really love this. I'm in awe of people who can draw.
ReplyDeleteWait, you did this yourself? Holy god, that's amazing. My secret dream was to be an artist, but sadly I wasn't very good. I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteHappy A-Z blogging!

A theme of sketches = THE AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteA sketch a day will work for me, Rusty.
ReplyDeleteNow imagine - I recommend young adult books on my blog, and I've got a nice bookshelf full of books that I've read and am ready to write up... but fitting into this A to Z scheme? Well, a few will be a bit of a stretch, and I am still hunting for one for V.
But I cannot draw. At. All. So I will be looking forward to your sketches, believe me!
