I'm Not Above Being a Fanboy!

I absolutely love Peter V Brett's books, The Warded Man (In the U.S. - The Painted Man abroad) and The Dessert Spear are amazing. I think The Dessert Spear may be my favorite book I've read so far this year, and that's saying a lot, since I've read a lot, and I mean A LOT of books that I've loved in 2012.

I was so wowed when I finished the the second one that I whipped up a piece of fan art. Peter Brett himself stopped by my deviantART page and told me that he'd made it his new desktop background... I won't call him to task on that, I'll just believe and not ask any questions.

Anyway, he posted a copy of it to his blog. I'm just thrilled to death.

Awesome.

Happy day people.

  4. What a tremendous scene! Your artwork is stunning, really gorgeous. I love how the Warded Man is crouched for battle and the wood demon's claw is coming at him.

  9. Awesome that Peter Brett put your artwork on his page! Congratulations!

(catching up...: on being a scientist) I hope -being the science geek you are- that you corrected your wife when she said that scientists just "make things up" (At least that's what you claim she said) I am pretty sure that scientists didn't just make up global warming (or climate chaos- the better name). You could still get that degree and go into a field of science and do... science stuff (ever see 'The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra'?)
