C is for Carp

Day 3 of the A-Z Challenge.. click for more info.

After the previous couple of days I wanted to do something not human. I was going to do a car, but decided that I really wasn't that interested in doing all those straight lines and perfect circles (or ovals, whatever).

So, instead I did a fish... a carp to be exact. Except I don't really know what they look like. I checked out Google - turns out they look just like regular fish. So, whatever. Here's a fish... I mean, here's a carp.

I live in muddy water.

  1. I love seeing your daily drawings.Since I would only be able to draw a stick fish (lol), I am always impressed.

One time a group of us were playing a computer game at work (yes, playing games on company time!) and when one of my co-workers was shot, instead of typing Crap! Crap! Crap! he typed Carp! Carp! Carp! We've never let him live it down...

  4. You should look up one of those Asian carps. They're damned ugly and destroying the Great Lakes ecology.

  12. Great job...I believe the goldfish and Koi may be related to the carp. I would have to look it up but not going to. I shall leave that to others.

  15. Excellent rendering of a carp. Carps are rugged fish, and awfully bony.
