J is for Jeb

10 Days into the A-Z Challenge. Great work everyone.

Am I still going on about my would be novel? Of course I am. In case folks didn't see yesterday's post. I mentioned the Uber Hero that was destined to destroy all evil and wickedness in the world, well, the real story, if my would be novel even has one, is the story of this guy... our intrepid hero's little brother.

Jeb loves and idolizes his older brother, even if he's also a bit envious of the adoration that gets poured on him from others. Most people realize he'll be everything his older sibling is in time - but Jeb is blind to that.

Things hit the crapper pretty quickly for him. His love of books, lore, and his wits are going to have to be enough to keep him alive.

He sounds like the best character! His posture looks like he's saying, "Why do they always blame me?" or "Why don't I ever get to go with you?"

So his brother is the brawn and he's the brain?

I agree with Brinda. He does seem like the best character, and a little fed up with being left behind.

Poor Jeb...He looks like he's saying "What now?" Poor guy, always having listen to people gush about Ish. He'll come into his own for sure.

He looks like he should be in that old A-Ha video, "Take on me..."

I want to hear more about the guy who crashed through your roof.

Great MC for the sequel. :)

Have you considered doing kids book? You could write and draw them. At least sketch them and have someone else clean up the images.

He sounds as interesting as his brother. Also, really like the sketch. I've always loved sort of rough sketches for some reason.

This might be my favorite drawing so far. I think it should be titled "Mime Pretending to Juggle."

He sounds like a great character! And I love the sketch of him.

Poor Jeb, living in Ish's shadow. Isn't that how it works in real life, though?

I was a first born, pretty high achiever. My brother was pretty easy going. My Type A and his nonchalance demeanor was an interesting combo. So different, but we got along so well.

Jeb looks like a poet there.
