Just a quick note to everyone out there. I am on Goodreads. I like the site, and I've been there for a while now. But man, do I suck at making friends. So please, find me and friend me there. Unless you already have, in which case, thank you.

Also, if you are a writer, or hope to be, I really do think the episode of the Simpsons that aired a few weeks ago is an absolute must see. Grumpy (who used to be a doctor - now a secret agent), made mention of it recently and I watched it. It really was great. Lisa is determined to write a novel and... oh, just watch it. I've went through the trouble to embed the thing so you don't even have to go looking for it. So take 25 minutes or so, relax and enjoy.
But don't wait too long to watch, I'm sure they'll disable it at some point in the future.

Will watch...as soon as I get all the stuff done I didn't do yesterday and the day before that etc - or maybe I'll just watch it. I'm not sure I can handle the distraction of Goodreads right now. I have written zero words this month. *fail*
I think we're already friends on Goodreads. Need to check!
Yes I'm already your friend on Goodreads, at least one of my personas is. That was a really great Simpsons if only because it's so true about the publishing industry, at least from where I sit.
Tonja - I joined to keep track of the books I read, and my thoughts about them. Now I see it as a way to see what other people are reading. Very voyeuristic.
Alex - we're friends there. No worries.
Grumpy - was a great episode, I watched it twice. So insightful.
I just got my Goodreads account going. Had if for so long and decided to do something with it.
I caught this episode of the Simpsons. I thought it was awesome. I'm pretty sure the R.L. Stine books are churned out like that. Along with James Patterson.
Patterson simply slaps his name on some young buck's newest book these days.
I get no mention of being an "Expert Critic". This weekend I'm going to change my title to "Secret Agent Boss" just so I can outrank the "Secret Agents" of the world.
Admittedly, I've only been on that site a little. I'd love to buy every book that they recommend, but I don't have the funds, nor the time to read ALL those books.
But it is interesting! (Incidentally, we're "friends" on there already ;)
You didn't say Gaiman was in it! That was awesome!
I need to do more with my Goodreads. I'm trying to figure out how to get the new covers on it ...
This is the second blog today to have Simpsons stuff on it that I can't watch because I'm geographically challenged :-(
