Day 9 of the A-Z Challenge already. It's zipping on by. Read all about it here.
Guess who can't stop drawing pics based on their would be novel? Me. I'm hoping somehow that by doing all these sketches the story will get better. I don't know, that's what magic does, right?
Anyway, Ish is an important figure in the book. He's the guy, that if the fates decided that anyone would be christened as the Hero of Ages, the one to save the world for the evil warlord/wizard/dragon, etc, it would be this guy. He's got it all, the best at whatever he does, he's the nicest guy around, says his prayers, loves pretty much everyone... not a flaw to be found.
Oh, he's also harboring a pretty huge secret, once discovered it left a wake of ruined lives and set the events of the book in motion. He's probably my favorite character in the story.
On a side note, this is a quick sketch, not a real piece of art, but I think that's about as close to happy as I've been with anything I'd done this month. I like this pic more than the rest I've done so far.

Excellent sketch. You know how to do body proportions and shading well.
Beautiful sketch, it feels real and comic like at the same time. :) Ish sounds bad ass.
I looked in thinking you meant "ish" as in "How are you feeling?" "Rather ish today." and got this lovely drawing of a muscular young man,
Great sketch. Please tell me your opening line is, "Call me Ish." :)
I really like this - you look like you have a sketch man holding areal sword.
Wow he's real buff.
Greetings!
What an interesting, catchy title for the book!
Interesting details! Sounds like a "will be" novel!
Great sketch!

This is my favorite one so far. Please don't judge me if I say it's eye candy.
Wow, this is pretty great. No wonder hes your favorite character in your story.
Awesome picture -- I love the intensity in his eyes!
Really enjoying your A-to-Z theme. You're showing a tremendous amount of creativity -- writing AND drawing/painting.
Great work!
This sketch is fricken' awesome sir! I love how you put so much action into it.
Very awesome sketch! And I love his name. He sounds like an awesome character, although someone I'd hate in real life...I can never stand those "good at everything I touch people" especially if they are nice. I should be a bigger person, but I'm not.
That's a fantastic sketch. Looks like it belongs in a graphic novel or comic book. Did you do this one on the computer? Noticed the cool glare coming off of the sword's blade.
Ish...is that short for Ishmael???
Awesome sketch! He sounds like quite the intriguing character.
Wow, amazing sketch! Visiting from the A-Z challenge.

Love it when a character has a secret. And, as always, the sketch is fantastic.
That sketch is awesome! I love the look in his eyes. I am visiting from Alex's world. :-)
Great sketch. This could be my favorite so far.
I like the contrast between him and the sword. The hard reality of the sword as opposed to the insubstantialness of the man.
However, I disapprove of you liking anything more than the sketch of me. :P
I often draw my characters as well - yours remind me a bit of Frazetta.
I wish I could do anything half as well as you draw.

wowza.
this is my favorite of your sketches so far, as well.
when it comes to trying to draw my own characters, i find it really difficult if i only fuzzy know them, and when they grow more concrete, i can add more detail... i wonder if that's what's happening here, a bit.
he's admittedly your favorite character, and ALSO your favorite sketch...
also- no character flaws???
I'm with Vics...Yowza indeed. I should hire you as my cover artist for my next book. ;)
Ish looks completely heroic, but you've caught something in his eyes, a hint of that secret.
I really like this one, too. I like his long hair!
No character flaws? That can't be true. "Deep dark secret" sounds like a flaw...
It pops very nicely. Looks like art to me. Very nice art.
Secrets are good.
Your drawings are beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!
Great picture!!
