Holy Crap

Spend the next 7 minutes watching this video and see if it doesn't stick with you for a while.

I found this haunting, I really did.

That's awesome that the guy in the video taped so many years in a row. You see him growing younger lol But then again, we all take a little time travel whenever we watch old movies. Look at how young Liz Taylor and others look in those ancient films.

When he had a beard, the change in years wasn't so noticable. Weight changes? Much more noticable!

Damn, that's crazy. It must be cool for him to be able to look back at all those vids too.

That's amazing! But it was sad that so many of his years ended with "Well, that was a pretty shitty year..." lol

I agree with Alex, I think this would be more dramatic if he didn't have a beard for most of his later years. A beard really covers up a lot of the aging (note to self, grow beard when you turn 50). However, it's still crazy not only to see this guy age, but to see how crappy video once was and how far it's come!

Michael - I guess we all do, but I have a tendency to freak out about getting older. I guess deep down inside I really didn't think I'd ever really get old. It sounds stupid I know, and I have this great unease about my age. It doesn't feel right. Seeing someone visibly age, or grow young in this case, is disconcerting for me. Moreso than it is for an actress or actor, they usually spend so much time at the gym and the plastic surgeon that they only look different as they age, more plastic.

Alex - I noticed that too, the beard hides a lot. I thought his biggest changes were from around 20 - 25, it seems like he did 20 years of aging then.

Gina - I wish I'd been taking video of myself more though the years. I'd like to look back now but I don't have a lot to look at.

Trisha - Well, a lot of my year in reviews would have been the same. At least he's honest.

Beer - Yes, apparently, back in the 70's, a strobing effect was the best he could do. I may have had a seizure watching it.

Eagle - I think it was impressive too. I have always had a hard time planning for something 2 weeks into the future, but sitting around in the late 70's and planning on making a video every year for this long is insane. I'm impressed.
