I got my new Wacom Tablet the other day. I played and realized pretty quickly that it'll take some practice to get any good using the thing. I pasted the pic here on the right not because it's any good - that blotchy skinned, mutton chops wearing guy isn't going to make me famous - it was an exercise, nothing artistic about it. But, it's unique for me because it's the first piece of art I've ever produced entirely on a computer.
Yes, things I've done previously were drawn on paper, then scanned. Well, no longer. A new world has dawned.
I'll be drawing some more now I suppose. Can't wait.
Happy drawing.

Congratulations. The Wacom Tablet is an amazing piece of technology. Do you have Adobe CS5? That's an expensive program. If so, are you super adept at using it? I may have to ask you questions lol.
Michael - I think I have CS2 on one of my PC's but I don't use it. My brother in law owns a graphic arts company and says I have to use the corel suite so I have the latest.
But I don't use Corel either.
I use PS elements, which I think will work out well enough. Although there has already been a few things I've wanted to do that I could do in photoshop but can't in elements, or at least I don't know how to in elements.
Knew you'd enjoy it! Almost like going back to the basics when one has drawn and modeled using a mouse for so long.
Oh, wow! And I'm thrilled with my little blogfest badge I created this week. Not even close to what you do.
My Celebration Blogfest is off and rolling. Come by and check it out.

Very cool! I've always thought those things were super intimidating, but I can't draw, so that might really be the issue.
Alex - it really is like learning all over again. Hopefully it won't take as long as it did when I learned with a pencil.
Zan - Doing things like logos and badges are a different sort of skill I think. I'm not so hot with those. I try, but I don't exactly have a great talent for it.
Wannabe - Some people find that their creativity comes out when they jump into a new media type. You never know.
I like it. :D
